A Marriageable Young Girl
Jeanne Testard
(1642-1723)
Jeanne Testard was born about 1642 in St. Vincent, Rouen, Normandy, France; the daughter of Jean Testard and Anne Godefroy.  She arrived in the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Francois Leber.  They were married December 2, 1662 in Montreal.

Francois was born about 1626 in St. Francois De Poitre, Rouen, Normandy, France; and he and Jeanne would have six children.  He died on May 19, 1694 at La Prairie and Jeanne followed on January 18, 1723.
The Next Generation
Joachim-Jacques Leber - Was born on June 10, 1664 in Montreal and died on November 19, 1696 in La Prairie.  He married Jeanne-Elisabeth Cusson and the couple had at least one child.

Marie Leber - Was born on December 06, 1666 in Montreal and died on December 06, 1666 in La Prairie.  She married three times:  Charles Robert Deslauriers (1 child), Francois Bourassa (3 children), Pierre Herve (no children)

Jeanne Leber - Was born in 1670 and died on December 04, 1687 in Montreal.  She married Jean Tessier and the couple had one child.

Jacques Leber - Was born on July 20, 1672 and died the following day in La Prairie.

Francois Leber - Was born on October 10, 1673 and died unknown in La Prairie.  He married Marie-Anne Magnan and the couple had thirteen children.

Claude Leber - Was born on September 14, 1675 and died on October 10, 1675 in La Prairie.
