Madeleine Marecot
(1634-1698)
Madeleine Marecot was born about 1634, at Bourg-De-Dales, La Rochelle, Aunis, France; the daughter of Mathurine Marecot and Marie Regnau.  She arrived in the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Louis Martineau.  They were married April 09, 1663 in Chateau-Richer.

Louis was born on August 25, 1624 in the Parish of St-Savinien, La Rochelle, Charente-Maritime, France; the son of Jean Martineau and Mathurine Bonne.  Louis and Madeleine would have three children.  Madeleine died on September 17, 1698 at Hotel Dieu in Ville De Quebec and Louis followed on May 28, 1709 at St. Francois, Ille De Orleans.
The Next Generation
Jean Martineau - Was born on July 24, 1664 and died soon after on August 8, in Chateau-Richer.

Elisabeth Martineau - Was born on March 16, 1668 and died on December 20, 1685 in the Parish of Ste-Famille on Ille De Orleans.  She married Jean-Pierre Dubreuil.

Augsutin-Pierre Martineau - Was born on April 13, 1669 in Ste-Famille and died unknown in St. Francois.  He married Marie-Madeleine Leblond and the couple had fourteen children.
