Madeleine Michelande
(1632-1695)
Madeleine Michelande was born about 1632 in the Parish of Ste-Marguerite, La Rochelle, Aunis, France; the daughter of Adrien Michelande and Genevieve Laurent.  She arrived in the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Jacques Gratiot.  They were married November 22, 1654 at Trois-Rivieres.

Jacques was born in 1632 in La Rochelle; the son of Leonard Gratiot and Laurencie Allard Bisson.  He and Madeleine would have five children.  She died on January 31, 1695 at Repentigny and Jacques followed on December 18, 1698.
The Next Generation
Jacques Gratiot - Was born on April 25, 1661 and died unknown at Trois-Rivieres.

Marie-Madeleine Gratiot - Was born on June 14, 1662 at Trois-Rivieres and died on November 01, 1687 in Repentigny.  She married Jean-Baptiste Le Tellier and the couple had at least four children.

Francoise Gratiot - Was born on April 30, 1664 at Trois-Rivieres and died on childbirth on March 25, 1690 in Montreal.  She married Pierre-Jacques Girard and the couple had five children.

Marguerite Gratiot - Was born in 1665 and died on May 25, 1704 in Repentigny.  She married Jacques Richaume and the couple had at least one child.

Pierre Gratiot- Was born in 1666 and died unknown in Trois-Rivieres.
