Nicolas was born in 1626 at Berville-en-Caux, Rouen, Normandy, France; the son of Nicoals Patendaude Sr. and Adrienne St. Simon. He and Marguerite would have eleven children before his death on February 13, 1679 at Ste-Famille. Marguerite followed on November 11, 1698.
