Marguerite Corriveau (1620-1673) |

Marguerite Corriveau was born about 1630 at St-Porchaire, Saintes, Saintonge, France. She married Rene Mahue (Maheust) there on May 21, 1648. Rene was born about 1620 in the Parish of St. Germain, in Paris, France; the son of Rene Senior and Elisabeth Favereau. His grandfather Nicolas had married Charlotte Hebert, the sister of Nicolas Hebert; and father of Louis Ganton. Soon after their marriage Marguerite and Rene emigrated to the French Colony of Quebec where they had two children born: Jean-Paul and Louis. Rene died August 31, 1661 and Marguerite then married Jean Nicolas Maheu, son of Jacques Mahue and Anne Convent, on July 16, 1663. They had no children. Marguerite died on April 19, 1673. |

Jean-Paul Mahue - Was born in 1649 at Quebec and died on December 25, 1708 of Alcoholism at St. Francois, Isle D'Orleans, Quebec. He married Marguerite Tesson and had four children. Louis Mahue - Was born on December 12, 1650 and died on November 24, 1683 at Quebec. He married Genevieve Bissot and had one child. |
