A Marriageable Young Girl
Marguerite Guillebourdeau
(1630-1662)
Marguerite Guillebourdeau was born about 1630 in Marcay, Vivonne, Poiters, Poitou, France; the daughter of Louis Guillebourdeau and Marie Maguin.  She arrived in the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Jean Baillargeon.  They were married November 20, 1650 in Ville De Quebec.

Jean was born about 1612 in Londigny, Ville Fagnon, Ruffec, France; the son of Louis Baillargeon and Marthe Fovier.  He and Marguerite would have four children before her death on October 20, 1662 in Ville De Quebec.  Jean followed in 1681.
The Next Generation
Jeanne Baillargeon - Was born on May 04, 1651 in Ville De Quebec and died unknown in Chateau-Richer. She married Jean Labrecque and the couple had at least three children.

Nicolas Baillargeon - Was born on February 22, 1654 and died on September 02, 1712 in Ville De Quebec. He married Anne Crepeau.

Louis Baillargeon - Was born on October 26, 1656 and died before 1666 in Ville De Quebec.

Jean Baillargeon - Was born on September 05, 1659 in Ville De Quebec and died on April 01, 1694 in St. Laurent.  He married Marie-Jeanne Godbout; daughter of Nicolas Godbout and Marie-Marthe Bourgoin; and the couple had four children.
