The Racine Roots
Marguerite Martin
(1624-1679)
Marguerite Martin was born on January 04, 1624, the daughter of Abraham Martin and Marguerite Genevieve Langlois.  She married Etienne Racine on May 22, 1638 at Ville De Quebec and the couple had ten children.  Etienne was born on May 11, 1607 at Fumechon, Oise, Normandy, France; the son of Rene Racine and Marie Loyselde.

Marguerite died on November 25, 1679 at Chateau Richer and Etienne on April 24, 1689 at Ste. Anne De Beaupre.

Infant Racine - Was born on September 30, 1640 and died the same day.

Louise Racine - Was born on September 02, 1641 at Ville De Quebec and died on January 05, 1675 at Chateau Richer.  She married Simon Guyon and the couple had seven children.

Noel Racine - Was born on December 26, 1643 at Ville De Quebec and died on March 04, 1728 at St. Anne De Beaupre.  He married Marguerite Gravel and the couple had eleven children.

Marie-Madeleine Racine - Was born on July 07, 1646 at Ville De Quebec and died on December 03, 1726 at Baie Saint Paul.  She married Noel Simard and the couple had fourteen children.

Francois Racine - Was born on August 22, 1649 at Ville De Quebec and died on February 23, 1714 at Ste. Anne De Beaupre.  He married Marie Boucher and the couple had twelve children.

Marguerite Racine - Was born on March 08, 1651 at Ville De Quebec and died on December 17, 1696 at Chateau Richer.  She married Jean Gagnon and the couple had twelve children.

Pierre Racine - Was born on October 26, 1654 and died on March 14, 1728 at Ville De Quebec.  He married Marie-Louise Guyon and the couple had eight children.

Marie Racine - Was born in 1657 at Ville De Quebec.  She became a nun and died on January 30, 1736 at Notre Dame de Basilique, Montreal, Quebec.

Jeanne Racine - Was born on September 12, 1660 at Chateau Richer and died on May 18, 1703 at Ste. Anne De Beaupre.  She married Jean Pare and the couple had seven children.

Etienne Racine - Was born on August 14, 1662 at Chateau Richer and died on January 03, 1722 at Ste. Anne De Beaupre.  He married Catherine Guyon and the couple had thirteen children.
