Marie D'Abancour
(1618-1678)
Marie D'Abancour was born about 1618 in St. Waast de Soisson, Laon, Aisne, France; and arrived in the small French outpost of Kebec as an Immigrant's Daughter.  Her father Adrien drowned in the St. Lawrence on May 02, 1640 and she lost her mother Simone D'Orgeville, on January 14, 1649 in Sorel.

Marie would be married three times, the first to Jean Jolliet on October 09, 1639 in Ville De Quebec.  Jean was born about 1595 in Sezanne-en-Brie, Troyes, Champagne, France; and he and Marie would have five children before his death on April 24, 1651:

Adrien Abancour Jolliet - Was born in 1642 in Ville De Quebec and died in 1670 at Cap-De-Madeleine.  He married Jeanne Dodier and the couple had two children.

Jean Abancour Jolliet - Was born on June 04, 1644 in Ville De Quebec and died on August 10, 1676 in Montreal.

Louis Abancour Jolliet - Was born on September 21, 1645 in Ville De Quebec and died on August 08, 1700 in Ile de Anticoste, Quebec.  He married Claire-Francoise Bisson; daughter of Francois Bissot and Marie Couillard (granddaughter of Marie Rollet) and the couple had eight children.  Louis became a noted adventurer, spending much time travelling along the Mississippi River.

Marie Abancour Jolliet - Was born on March 31, 1648 and died unknown in Ville De Quebec.  She married Francois Fortin and the couple had a daughter Marie-Genevieve.

Zacherie Abancour Jolliet - Was born on December 23, 1650 in Ville De Quebec and died in 1692.  He married Marie Niel and the couple had at least three children.

After her first husband's death, Marie D'Abancour married Geoffrey Guillot on October 19, 1651.  Geoffrey was born about 1631 in St. André de Ruffec, Angoulême, Charente, France; the son of Jean Guillot and Jeanne Coutin.  He and Marie would have three children.  Geoffrey was killed by the Iroquois on July 18, 1665.

Jean Abancour Guillot - Was born on November 26, 1653 in Ville De Quebec.  He became a Carignan soldier and was killed in a battle with the Iroquois on July 07, 1692 near Montreal.  He married Marguerite Dusson and the couple had at least three children.

Elisabeth Abancour Guillot - Was born on May 04, 1656 and died on November 11, 1680.  She married Jean Charest and the couple had three children.

Louise Abancour Guillot - Was born on August 11, 1659 in Ville De Quebec and died in 1724 at Chateau-Richer.  She married three times: Gabriel Gosselin (2 children), Mathurin Renaud and Pierre Emard.

Now widowed for a second time, Marie married Martin Prevost on November 11, 1665 at Ville De Quebec.  Martin was widowed from his Canadian wife;
Marie-Olivier Manitouawich, and Marie moved into his home to help raise their children.  Marie D'Abancour died on November 24, 1678 and Martin followed on January 27, 1691.
