A Marriageable Young Girl
Marie Berard
(1633-1707)
Marie Berard was born on July 07, 1624 in Arpajan, Chartres, Ile-de-France, France; the daughter of Denis Berard and Marie Michelet.  She arrived in the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Pierre Lemieux.  They were married September 10, 1647 in Ville De Quebec.

Pierre was born on October 26, 1611, at St-Michel, Rouen, Normandy, France; the son of Pierre Lemieux Sr. and Marie Luguen.   He and Marie would have seven children before his death in 1662.  Marie died unknown.
The Next Generation
Guillaume Lemieux - Was born on November 21, 1648 in Ville De Quebec and died on October 15, 1725 at Cap-St-Ignace.  He married Marie-Elisabeth Langlois and the couple had eleven children.

Pierre Lemieux - Was born on April 08, 1650 in Ville De Quebec and died unknown in Beauport.

Louis Lemieux - Was born on April 08, 1650 in Ville De Quebec and died on December 30, 1693 at Cap-St-Ignace.  He married Marie-Madeleine Cote and the couple had at least two children.

Marie Lemieux - Was born on February 14, 1654 in Ville De Quebec and died on June 07, 1658  of an accidental gunshot wound.

Jeanne Lemieux
- Was born on March 20, 1656 in Ville De Quebec and died unknown in Beauport.

Marie-Francoise Lemieux - Was born on April 21, 1658 in Ville De Quebec and died unknown in Beauport.

Thomas Lemieux
- Was born on August 18, 1660 in Ville De Quebec and died unknown in Beauport.
