Marie Bidard was born about 1635 in St. Pierre, d'Alencon, Mans, France; the daughter of Guillaume Bidard and Catherine Nochet. She arrived the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Carriage Maker & Master Carpenter; Honore Tourangeau Danis. They were married September 23, 1658 in Montreal. Honore was born in 1629 at Montlouis-sur-Loire, Tours, Touraine, France; the son of Martin Danis and Etiennette Badoville. He and Marie would have two children; Jean and Jacques; before her death on June 17, 1664 in Lachine. Honore followed on July 12, 1689. There is little known of the two sons, so they may have died when young or gone back to France. |
