Another Legardeur Bride
Marie Flavery
(1616-1676)
Marie Flavery was born about 1616 at Rouen, Seine, Maritime, France.  She married Pierre Legardeur about 1630 at La Rochelle and not long after the family emigrated to the Quebec Colony.  Pierre was born in 1606 at Thury-Harcourt, Caen, Calvedos, Normandy, France; the son of Rene Legardeur and Catherine De Corday.  He was also the brother of colonists Charles and Marguerite.

Marie and Pierre would have six children before his death on May 15, 1648; at sea on his way from La Rochelle to New France.  Marie Flavery never remarried and died herself on December 29, 1675 at Ville De Quebec.
The Next Generation
Jean-Baptiste Legardeur - Was born about 1631 in France and died on September 08, 1709 in Montreal.  He married Marguerite Nicolet, the daughter of Jean Nicolet and Marguerite Couillard and the couple had twenty children.

Marie-Madeleine Legardeur
- Was born in 1635 in France and died unknown in Trois-Rivieres.  She married Jean-Paul Godefroy and the couple had two children.

Catherine Legardeur
- Was born in 1636 in Ville De Quebec and died on November 30, 1709 in Montreal. She married Charles Manthet D'Ailleboust and the couple had fourteen children.

Charles-Pierre Legardeur - Was born on March 17, 1637 at Ville De Quebec and died on September 23, 1684 at Becancour.  He first married Marie Macard with whom he had two children.  She died in 1667 and Charles-Pierre then wed Jeanne-Judith Dematras.

Ignace-Pierre Legardeur
- Was born on January 29, 1639 and died on June 05, 1644 at Ville De Quebec.

Igance Legardeur - Was born on October 01, 1648 and died unknown in La Rochelle, France.
