An Early Chateau Richer Settler

Marie-Marthe Gagnon (1630-1670)

Marie-Marthe Gagnon was born about 1630 in St-Martin-de l'home-Chamondot, Mortagne, Chartres, France; the daughter of Mathurin Gagnon and Vincente Gauthier.  She married Jean Doyon from Perigny, Charente Maritime, Aunis, France; on November 19, 1650 at Ville De Quebec and the couple had six children before his death on April 27, 1664 at Chateau-Richer. Marie then married Jacques-Francois Lesot on April 21, 1665 at Chateau Richer.  Jacques was born on May 12, 1634 in Berneval le Grand, Normandy, France; the son of Laurent Lesot and Francoise Guiche.  Marie and Jacques had two children before her death on November 21, 1670.  Jacques-Francois died on September 28, 1702.

Her Doyon  Family

Marie Doyon - Was born on March 25, 1652 and died on February 09, 1678 at St. Laurent, Ile D'Orleans.  She married Antoine Lefort and the couple had five children. Nicolas Doyon - Was born on March 18, 1654 and died unknown. Antoine Doyon was born on July 04, 1656 at Ville De Quebec and died on December 09, 1708 at Chateau Richer.  He married Francoise Cloutier and the couple had eleven children. Marie-Madeleine Doyon - Was born in 1659 and died on August 21, 1678 at Louiseville, Maskinonge, Quebec.  She married Francois Lamontagne Petit Banliac and had one son. Louis Doyon - Was born on February 05, 1662 at Chateau Richer and died on September 06, 1681 in Montreal. Thomas Doyon - Was born on August 31, 1664 at Chateau Richer and died on May 05, 1739 at Ville De Quebec.  He married Barbe-Marie Trepanier and the couple had nine children.

Her Lesot Family

Joseph Lesot - Was born on June 18, 1666 and died on December 12, 1700 at Chateau Richer.  He married Marguerite David and the couple had three children. Jacques Lesot - Was born on September 08, 1668 and died in 1681 at Chateau Richer.
