Marie Girard was born on January 01, 1624, in the Parish of St-Cyr du Vaudreuil, Les Andelys, Normandy, France; the daughter of Michel Hebert Laudriere Girard and Charlotte Desnoyers. She arrived in the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Antoine Rouillard. They were married April 22, 1653 in Ville De Quebec. Antoine was born in 1616 at Saint-Come-de-Vair, Le Mans, Maine, France; the son of Noel Rouillard and Barbe Marchand. He and Marie would have two children before his death on April 28, 1666. Marie Rouillard - Was born on February 17, 1659 and died on June 02, 1690 in Ville De Quebec. She married Pierre Lariviere. Noel Rouillard - Was born on September 09, 1661 in Ste. Foye, Cote-Nord-de-Quebec, Quebec, and died on June 30, 1718 in L'Ancienne-Lorette, Lorette, Quebec. He married Anne-Madeleine Larcheveque and the couple had at least three children. HER MOUREAU FAMILY: After Antoine's death, Marie married Mathurin Moreau on May 08, 1667 at Ste-Foy. Mathurin was born in 1644 in the Parish Notre Dame, Du Chandenier, Poitiers, France. He and Marie would have four children. Mathurin died unknown and Marie on December 08, 1708. Louis Moreau - Was born on March 09, 1668 and died on October 26, 1735 in Sillery. He married Marie-Catherine Bonhomme and the couple had eleven children. Valentin Moreau - Was born on August 02, 1670 and died unknown in Sillery. Michel Moreau - Was born on May 13, 1673 at Mission de St-Joseph-de-Sillery, Sillery, Richelieu, Quebec, and died unknown in Ste. Foy. He married Madeleine Belleau and the couple had nine children. Jeanne-Therese Moreau - Was born on February 23, 1673 and died unknown in Sillery. |
