The Sedilot Family

Marie-Marguerite Grimoult (1611-1682)

Marie-Marguerite Grimoult was born in 1611 at Gif-sur-Yvette, Ille-de-France, France.  She married Louis Sedilot in 1636 and immediately after the couple emigrated to the Quebec Colony.  Louis was born in 1609 at Montreuil-sur-Breche, Picardie, France, and they would have six children; all born in New France.  Louis died on January 25, 1672 and Marie-Marguerite on January 25, 1682.

The Next Generation

Marie-Jacqueline Sedilot - Was born on December 21, 1637 at Ville Quebec and died on August 23, 1667 at Cote-Ste-Genevieve, Quebec.  She married Jean Chenier and the couple had seven children. Adrien Sedilot - Was born on December 18, 1639 and died on March 01, 1715 at Ville De Quebec.  He married Jeanne-Angelique Briere. Etienne Sedilot - Was born on September 09, 1640 and died on November 09, 1688 at Ville De Quebec.  He married Madeleine Carbonnet and the couple had three children. Marguerite Sedilot - Was born on April 04, 1643 at Ville De Quebec and died in 1743 in Montreal.  She married Jean Aubuchon and the couple had sixteen children. Marie Sedilot - Was born on October 21, 1644 at Ville De Quebec and died on June 12, 1684 at Trois-Rivieres.  She married Julien Trottier and the couple had three children. Jean Sedilot - Was born on January 27, 1647 at Ville De Quebec and died unknown.  He married Charlotte-Francoise Poitras and the couple had nine children.
