A Marriageable Young Girl
Marie Lorgueil
(1636-1700)
Marie Lorgueil  was born about 1636 in Cognac, Saintes, Saintonge, France; the daughter of Pierre Lorgueil and Marie Bruyere.  She arrived in the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Toussaint Hunault D'Eschamps.  They were married November 23, 1654 in Montreal.

Toussaint was born in 1626 at Ste. Pierre-es-Champs, Beauvois, Oise, France; the son of Nicolas Hunault  and Marie Benoit.  Toussaint and Marie would have nine children.  He died on December 13, 1690 in Montreal and Marie followed on November 29, 1700 at St. Therese, Varennes, Vercheres, Quebec.
The Next Generation
Thecle Hunault - Was born on September 23, 1655 and died on March 12, 1674 in Montreal.  She married Thomas Chartrand and had one son.

Andre Hunault - Was born on August 03, 1657 in Montreal and died on July 06, 1707 in St. Therese.  He married Marguerite Langlois.

Jeanne Hunault - Was born on November 02, 1658 and died on December 02, 1713 in Montreal.  She married Adrien Quevillon and the couple had at least two children.

Pierre Hunault - Was born on November 22, 1660 in Montreal and died unknown in Point-Aux-Trembles.  He married Catherine Beauchamp and the couple had ten children.

Marie-Therese Hunault - Was born on February 12, 1663 in Montreal and was killed by the Iroquois on August 17, 1689.  She married Guillaume Leclerc and the couple had six children.

Mathurin Hunault - Was born on December 27, 1664 and died on June 25, 1671 in Montreal.

Francoise Hunault - Was born on December 05, 1667 in Montreal and died on May 02, 1748 in Lachine.  She married Jean-Gilles Charpentier and the couple had twelve children.

Toussaint Hunault II - Was born on August 25, 1673 and died on October 22, 1748 in Montreal.  He married Marie-Antionette Paquet and the couple had at least one child.

Charles Hunault - Was born on July 25, 1676 and died on May 30, 1695 in Montreal.
