Lughnasadh - 20th August 2000

It was an auspicious night – the Celtic festival of Lughnasadh, with thunder and lightning rending the night sky…

When the War Council called by First-In-Last-Out, the Child of Gaia scout assembled, almost immediately the struggle for dominance started. The Bone Gnawers from the Gaia’s Knickers pack led by Kid Skid Addle were first to assert some sort of control, insisting that they had already staked the territory out. The Friendly Word, a Shadow Lord pack took more violent means, with Knock-Knock-Death-Calling, the pack leader flooring the Bone Gnawer Ahroun Silent-But-Violent. Various other scuffles erupted between Bone Gnawer and Shadow Lord until First-In-Last-Out broke the fighting up and got everyone round the fire to talk business.

The Glass Walkers of Sheep’s Clothing Inc. led by Money-Talks-Wyld-Walks insisted that it was "business as usual" in Kirkcaldy, claiming that the disappearance of the previous Glass Walker Sept was just all down to "boom and recession". The Bone Gnawers and Shadow Lords hotly disputed this claim. Finally, a decision was reached to search the Umbra for a suitable spot for the creation of a new Cairn. The pack found Kirkcaldy to be dominated by the Weaver, with a strong Wyrm presence.

The Garou were led into an ambush whilst searching for the last remaining survivor of the previous Sept, but they easily beat off the lone Black Spiral and her Bane allies. The Shadow Lord Stalks-The-Shadows killed a Policeman.

The Garou retreated back to Seafield Tower to plan the next move. Recriminations and fights over dominance started over again, with First-In-Last-Out and Silent-But-Violent desperately trying to keep things peaceful.

Grandfather Slavermouth, a Lupus-born Fianna of great standing visited the Garou, but he stormed off when he was insulted by Connor, a Silver Fang cub. Silent-But-Violent managed to persuade him to return again in a month’s time to discuss the creation of a Cairn in Fife.

Once again the night erupted in violence, but after the dust settled, it was agreed that:

September 17th 2000

The Garou once again gathered at Seafield Tower, and were joined by the towering Get of Fenris Dances-With-Lemmings. Dances-With-Lemmings was forced to defend his honour when some of the less tactful of the Garou showed amusement at his name, and he proved to be an able and fierce warrior. The Bone Gnawer Ahroun Silent-But-Violent who had assumed the position of Alpha at the previous moot was not in attendance, so Overdrive, the Glass Walker Master of Challenges set a series of trials to ascertain who would act as Beta. Dances-With-Lemmings assumed the position.

Connor, the Silver Fang cub managed to apprehend an over-inquisitive Raven who appeared to be eavesdropping in on the goings-on, and the bird transformed into a man clad in black, claiming to be Magellan, Master of Ravenscraig. Magellan told the snarling Garou (after MUCH coaxing to keep him to the point) that he had seen a wandering Garou cub lost in Kirkcaldy.

The Pack headed into Kirkcaldy and were led to a pub, wherein they met Genevieve, a cub who seemed unaware of many aspects of Garou life. She was unable to give her Tribe, but she bore the scent, pelt and bearing of a Silver Fang of great noble birth.

Meanwhile Magellan was directing two more Garou towards Seafield, both of the Fianna tribe. The first was the Delves-The-Truth from the established Cairn Ard Dub Agus Faleadh Alba, and shortly afterwards, Hell-Mend-Him, who claimed to be the MacDuff - hereditary and rightful Thane of Fife.

Order once again broken into violence as the headstrong Garou dueled with tooth and claw over petty slights and insults, with Connor, the truculent Silver Fang being the worst casualty, taking a severe mauling from Dances-With-Lemmings. Order was restored by Hell-Mend-Him, who insisted everyone got around the fire and talk of the task in hand - finding out what had happened to the previous Sept. Hell-Mend-Him also assumed the position of Alpha. This was accepted by Dances-With-Lemmings on the understanding that Hell-Mend-Him would formally challenge Silent-But-Violent at the next moot. As a Rite of Passage for the two Silver Fang cubs, Hell-Mend-Him sent Connor and Genevieve to infiltrate the notorious Scorpions gang that were holding Fife in a stranglehold of drugs and crime.

The Garou split into two packs. The first contacted the Corax of Ravenscraig - who told them that the Sept of the Wealth of Nations was Weaver-corrupted, and the second went to investigate the Wealth of Nations Cairn, the sinister Oswald House.

The two Packs eventually met up, and went to the Cairn. They found the out-of-town building deserted, with evidence of recent digging. A large excavator stood outside, and jolted and jerked into life, attacking the Garou as they investigated. The excavator was found to be possessed by a giant crab-like Bane spirit, and the building was found to be a giant Umbral vacuum that was sucking Gnosis from everything around it - including the Garou. Nevertheless, the Garou managed to drive the Spirit off, sealing the spiritual drain.

Judging the Pack to be to weak to investigate further, Hell-Mend-Him ordered the Garou to retreat to lick their wounds, posting a permenant vigil on the house until the Pack were strong enough again.

15th October 2000

The pack was called once again to Seafield Tower. Hell-Mend-Him took the temporary position of Alpha unopposed, and informed the assembled Garou that the Elder Seanair Ronnchraos wished to address them. When he arrived, Ronnchroas announced that since his last visit, he had discovered that Seafield Tower - far from being just a good spot for a Cairn - WAS the actual site of a dormant Cairn. All that was missing was a Pathstone. When Ronnchroas left, a debate began as to whether it would be better to try and locate the Pathstone from Oswald House, the prevoius Glass Walker Cairn or petition Luna for a new one. It was decided that it would be better to at least try to find the existing one to prevent it falling into the wrong hands.

Returning to the house, the Garou met up with the Shadow Lords Stalks-the-Shadows and Storm-of-Sorrow, who brought their packmates with him - packmates they had not previously made known to the Sept. These included a Black Fury seeress, a Stargazer and another Shadow Lord, a Metis. Investigating the house took some time, but eventually the Garou found a statue obviously devoted to the Weaver, a statue which had a setries of strange code-like markings binding a Spirit of Warding. Cassandra Edge-Walker, Theurge of the Black Furies tried to contact the Spirit, but was enraged when Geniveive the Silver Fang cub broke her concentration and stormed off as a result. Eventually, Stalks-the-Shadows summoned a Spirit of Enigmas to break the arcane code, which it did (after taking a heavy price in Gnosis from everyone).

It would appear that Gaia Herself was guiding the Garou, since the Statue did indeed contain a map detailing the location of the missing Pathstone, and it transpired that the Wyrm-possessed excavator that the Garou had battled with a few weeks ago had actually been perilously close to finding it, judging by the earthworks. The Garou dug deep and eventually uncovered an iron-shod chest containing the precious Moonstone.

Taking it back to Seafield in triumph, Ronnchroas was already preparing the Rite of Caern Opening. He cast the Pathsone into the blessed earth and declared that it was his sacred Goddess-given duty to bring the White Howlers back to Gaia. The first step, he said, would be to dedicate the Cairn to Lion, Tribal Totem of the White Howlers.

The Rite was enacted, and Lion appeared resplendent on his Golden Throne, but it was obvious that something was wrong - Lion sat deep in slumber, awakening only to address the Garou momentarily. He demanded to know where his Howlers and his Bastet Children were before sinking back into sleep, leaving the Garou a little lost. However, appearing from behind Lion's Throne appeared another Totem spirit - that of Fox.

Fox told the Garou that Lion was "absolutely thrilled" at being petitioned to be Sept Totem, and that Lion had accepted. Nevertheless, Lion was busy holding Court as King of the Beasts in the Deep Umbra and had asked Fox to act as his majordomo. The Garou accepted, and no sooner had the Totem Avatars retreated back to the Umbra when the Symphony of the Abyss was heard on the wind...

The Black Spiral Dancers attacked in numbers, but were beaten back by pure savagery. Many Black Spirals fell, but the attack petered out as both sides retreated to watch the fight between Seanair Ronnchroas and the Black Spiral Elder. The fight was close, but Ronnchroas eventually tore the Black Spiral apart. The Black Spirals drew back at this, and retreated to an open sewer pipe where a swirling vortex carried them away. Connor, Genieveve and Lonely-Gaze the Stargazer, maddened by the battle all followed the Black Spirals through the Vortex before it closed...

Back at the Cairn, things did not look good for Seanair Ronnchroas. The Wyrm-toxins that the Black Spiral Elder had poisoned him with were slowly killing him, but he refused all offers of healing, claming that the Summer Country was calling for him. He died shortly after, and the Howl that followed echoed all over Fife...

The Duel (Hell-Mend-Him vs. Hope-For-The-Future)

The Fianna and Get of Fenris tribes have always been sensitive to slights regarding honour and glory, and when Hell-Mend-Him, the Thane of Fife refused to acknowledge the rank of a packmate of the Get of Fenris Hope-For-The-Future on the grounds that she was only 13 years old, a formal challenge was made and accepted.

The duel was held in the bawn of the Sept of the Sacred Oak, Atlanta, Georgia, USA. As the duel began, Hell-Mend-Him, his honour having been satisfied at the acceptance of the challenge had decided to give honourable surrender over the issue, having already decided that he was in error. Hope-For-The-Future, however, refused to accept this surrender and went for Hell-Mend-Him's throat. As Hell-Mend-Him went for his Klaive, a Black Stag entered the Bawn filling him with Rage. He was about to frenzy when an Owl Spirit spoke soothing words of calm unto him, and Hell-Mend-Him - whose spirit had been bolstered by these words long enough to prevent himself from frenzing for the moment - left the Bawn in disgust.

19th November 2000

The first point of order was to find the Garou that had went missing after the battle with the Black Spiral Dancers. Dances-With-Lemmings, Alpha of the Sleeping Lion and Hell-Mend-Him, the Thane of Fife both sent scouts out seeking them, but it was Magellan of Ravenscraig the Corax that eventually tracked the two cubs Connor and Genevieve. Of Lonely-Gaze the Stargazer, however, there was still no sign...

The cubs were being held at the IPCU (Intense Psychiatric Care Unit) of a local Psychiatric hospital. Magellan was able to report that they seemed safe, but stopped short of actually helping them to get out himself. A pack led by Stalks-The-Midnight-Tide of the Shadow Lords was sent to retrieve them whilst Dances-With-Lemmings called a War Council on a very disturbing piece of news...

At the hospital, Connor and Geniveive were horrified to find the Garou pack rampaging through the hospital ward in Crinos trying to "rescue" them, when they had already been told that they were not Sectioned under the Mental Health Act and were free to leave at any time. The only other disturbing event was the fact that the doctor and nurse that were on duty semed utterly unaffected by the Delerium, and indeed, patiently explained to Connor and Genevieve that they were hallucinating again! After firmly asking the towering 9' tall Crinos to leave (which they did) the Doctor had Connor and Geniveive make appointments at a Psychiatric day Hospital and discharged them (Connor and Genevieve wisely didn't argue the point that there were werewolves standing in the corridor).

Back at the Cairn, plans were being drawn up for an assault on the Weathered Glen, a Cairn in North-East Fife previously thought to be abandoned. Silent Strider and Corax scouts had already reported the presence of several Wyrm-tainted individuals dwelling within the Bawn, and once the Pack sent to the hospital returned with the Cubs, the Sleeping Lion roused and marched to war.

All attempts at parley were rebuffed, and with characteristic decisiveness Dances-With-Lemmings ordered the assault. The fight was long and bloody, and two of the Sleeping Lion were wounded to the point of death only to be saved by the healing touch of the Den Mother Cassandra Edge-Walker but the superior numbers of the Sleeping Lion proved the deciding factor, and soon the corrupt members of the Sept of the Weathered Glen (as they were later confirmed as being) all lay dead.

The source of the taint became apparent as a strange Stone Dagger bearing runes of hate and misery found thrust into the fire in the middle of the Bawn - a fire which was burning Balefire and poisoning the wind and earth all around it. The Master of the Rite, Grasps-Both-Ends of the Stargazers performed a Rite of Cleansing on the area, which was successful as far as it went, but the corruption of the Dagger was so strong that the Balefire burst into flames once more as the Rite was completed. At this point, the corpses of the corrupted Garou that littered the Bawn slowly jerked into a grotesque, zombie-like state. They were easily smashed back to the ground, but the severed limbs kept moving, some of them escaping into the night. Dances-With-Lemmings then grasped the Dagger, hauling it out of the ground at great injury to himself, and called to his totem Uktena to take this Wyrm-thing away. His call was answered, and Uktena took the Wyrm Dagger from Dances-With-Lemmings, leaving him with the Wyrm runes permenantly branded into his hands.

One member of the Sept DID manage to escape, however. Moira McKenna, Kinfolk to the Irish Fianna managed to escape after the death of her mother at the hand of Hell-Mend-Him - a fight witnessed by no-one else of the Sept, and despite being pursued by Hell-Mend-Him managed to reach the United States, to the Sept of the weeping Sky, a Health Center in Seattle run by the Glass Walker Dr. Catherine Ferrault, where the truly horrific extent of her injuries became apparent. She was unable to recount her experiences other than vague and sinister accusations against Hell-Mend-Him...

10th December 2000

Even more Garou had flocked to the Sept of the Sleeping Lion, who petitioned the Sept Beta Stalks-The-Shadows for permission to take up permenant residence at the Sept (which was granted in the absense of the Alpha, Dances-With-Lemmings), including Riven, a Silent Strider Teaches-The-Homids, a wandering Red Talon that escewed her Lupus form to travel and learn the ways of her human cousins, Alfredo, a Glass Walker businessman and Bill Bixby, a short, blond Bone Gnawer scrap merchant that vehemently insisted that he was in actual fact the actor that played David Bannerman in the hit early-80's TV show "The Incredible Hulk". There were also some visitors - the Child of Gaia Strikes-With-Precision - also known as "The Surgeon" - a notorious wrestler in the British Wrestling Federation - and an enigmatic Stargazer called Chases-Moonbeams who were visiting from the Cairn Ard Dub Agus Fealadh Alba in Glasgow.

Magellan, the Corax Master of Ravenscraig, who could be described as "excitable" at the best of times was bursting with some important news - apparently he had uncovered the whereabouts of the last direct descendant of William the Lion, King of Scots - and genuine Bastet Werelion kinfolk from the Scottish Celtic bloodline, long thought to be lost. Magellan had managed to find out some background information about him - like the fact that he served as a sergeant in the elite SAS and that he was working at a nightclub only a few miles away. William had been made aware of his unique heritage, but Magellan was curiously unforthcoming when asked for more details. He did offer to take a Garou pack to the club where William Marvin was working, however.

Stalks-The-Midnight-Tide, Strikes-With-Precision and Walks-The-Way travelled into Kirkcaldy to the Nightclub where he was working. Walks-The-Way even offered to take over William's duties for the night so that he could return to the Cairn with them, but as they entered the club, it was apparent that all was not as it had first seemed...

Although there were several likely looking candidates for William (large, scarred men dressed in leathers) Magellan just shuffled his feet and looked nervous. It soon became apparent why, as the compere announced the main attraction of the Purring Pussycat Club...

"The Delicious Wilma" gave a splendid rendition of Big Spender to the ecstatic audience before retiring to her dressing room. The Garou followed, and found out that "Wilma" (William)'s choice of lifestyle meant that he was totally uninterested in passing his unique bloodline on to the next generation. A noble Garou then stepped up, and performed the ultimate act of love for Gaia, and attained the means to preserve the bloodline into the next generation.

Hell-Mend-Him, the Thane of Fife caused some concern with his behaviour - including drawing a Klaive on a Garou of higher station whilst in Dove's Glade - an Umbral sanctuary. He was challenged by the Alpha of the Sleeping Lion Dances-With-Lemmings, a challenge which was accepted before Hell-Mend-Him dropped out of sight from the Garou Nation. This might have been due to the further accusations of Moira McKenna into his conduct, including the revelation that he had sired two Metis cubs.

The Death of Hell-Mend-Him-ithkya

Hell-Mend-Him's behaviour had become increasingly bizarre and erratic, to the point where he violently demanded to the Garou Nation that Moira McKenna the Kinfolk was returned to him, threatening to kill anyone who got in his way. Several unconfirmed sightings of him reported that he was gaunt and suffering from lack of sleep and wounds that appeared to be self-inflicted. He had roughly cut his hair away right down to the scalp, and was seen to be cutting into his own skull with his Klaive, his chest and arms covered in claw marks. The Stag spirits that carried his howls to the Garou Nation were found to be dying, to the point where they eventually stopped altogether.

No more was heard until a week later, when he appeared at the Sept of the Weeping Skies, Seattle. By this time there was no doubt that he had fallen to the Wyrm. His eyes burned with hate, and he bore the tattooed markings of Beast-Of-War, Eater-Of-Souls and the Defiler Wyrm on his chest, still visible under the claw marks. It was Hacks-Too-Much, the Glass Walker Theurge that stopped Hell-Mend-Him in his tracks, and a terrible and closely fought battle commenced. The two Garou hacked and slashed at each other, and only when the others of the Weeping skies joined the fray did the tables finally turn on Hell-Mend-Him, and he was finally killed. His last words were a request to have him cleansed, as he thought he "might have become a little tainted".

Unfortunately, all this appeared to have a devastating effect on Moira. She started exhibiting Wyrm-taint herself, and eventually succumed to the Urge-Wyrm of Fear, becoming a twisted Fomor. Investigations suggested that this was linked to a frontal lobe brain tumour, and that the root of the taint was so deep that simple measures to remove it were putting her life in severe danger. She was incarcerated in the Sept until a cure could be found.

21st January 2001

Magellan the Corax, one of the Septs most frequent visitors was very conspicuous in his absence - although he did send a letter by bicycle courier to the Sept Alpha, Dances-With-Lemmings. The letter contained the translations of several missives regarding the "Pretanic Order", missives recovered some time ago from the previous Fife garou Sept, the Wealth of Nations. They were all addressed to someone calling himself "Frater O*R". Although over a year old, the content of the letters almost caused Dances-With-Lemmings and Grasps-Both-Ends, the Master of the Rite to frenzy - they alluded to what appeared to be a global Wyrm pornography ring involving the Changing Breeds (in various types and forms), with the videotaped death of a Black Fury being mentioned. Magellan (in his letter) said he had a few leads to follow, and promised to get back to the Garou once he had something concrete. Nevertheless, Dances-With-Lemmings sent a pack to investigate the mysterious Oswald House further - a mission which did not turn up anything else significant.

Magellan had also directed a Church of Scotland Minister to the Sept, a Rev. Gus MacCrimmon, Kinfolk to the Fianna tribe. He placed his services - such as they were - at the disposal of the Sept, and offered free use of the local Church hall to conduct meetings and such. The most important thing he could give to the Sept, though, was a message from Magellan - the location of someone - "Stig" - that most likely knew where to find Lonely-Gaze, the Stargazer that disappeared along with Genna and Connor, the Silver Fang cubs who had since been recovered. Magellan had drawn a map, so a pack consisting of Connor, Stalks-The-Midnight-Tide, Walks-The-Way and Grasps-Both-Ends, spiritually-linked to Dances-With-Lemmings was sent to the location, which appeared to be a campsite next to a construction site.

Everyone stayed in the Umbra except for Connor, who approached in Homid form, and asked the people milling around if he could talk to Stig about getting a job on the road construction site. Stig was duly summoned, and violently and offensively berated him for daring to come anywhere near them, as well as making it quite plain that they were the infamous "Direct Action Now!" road *protestors*, not construction workers. Stig was instantly aware of Connor's Garou nature, and as the others dropped out of the Umbra, it became clear that Stig and his crew were actually very sour, resentful and angry Ratkin. An all-out brawl was very narrowly averted - despite the aggressive actions of Walks-The-Way, who knocked out half of his own pack through the use of the Shadow Lord Clap of Thunder - and a discussion took place. The Ratkin, it seemed, didn't know anything about Lonely-Gaze or captive Garou, but they WERE about to assault a fortified prison where some of their own Kin were being held. It was hotly debated, but it was eventually agreed that the Garou would lead the attack...

The Ratkin led them through an Umbral set of tunnels, and showed them to a bunker set in open ground, lit by floodlights. A plan was formed, and a Gremlin summoned to deal with the alarms. When the floodlights went down, the Garou advanced. Unfortunately, the alarm sounded - albeit cut short by the technological jamming of Override the Glass Walker, but within seconds a flare shot up into the clear night sky...

As the Garou raced against the clock to gain entrance into the bunker, three helicoptors arrived - two deploying ground troops and one hovering overhead, shooting tracer rounds at the exposed Garou which burned and left horribly wounds that refused to heal. Grasps-Both-Ends staved off this threat by creating the element of Fire that set the pintel-mounted machine gun in flames, blindly firing ammunition everywhere. As the helicoptor flew off and grounded, the Garou finally broke into the Bunker...

The single man inside was quickly dispatched, and it became obvious that the whole rescue attempt was nothing but an ambush. The building itself was stacked with explosives and napalm, although there was a trapdoor in the middle of the floor, which led to an underground set of cells holding three people - one of which was Lonely-Gaze of the Sleeping Lion. One of the others was found to be dead already, and both the survivors had been beaten to the point of death.

As the three Garou inside attempted to rescue the captives, the bunker was destroyed in a massive explosion. Those Garou outside were horribly injured, and an immediate withdrawl was ordered. Inside and underground, the Garou and their rescuees were spared the worst of the blast, but on eventually emerging from the bunker, they were faced with a horrific sight in the Umbra. The Helicopters had been awakened, and twisted into massive, decaying vultures covered in rotting weaverweb and ridden by Umbral travellers - at least one of which was confirmed as being Garou (most likely a Black Spiral Dancer).

A vicious fight ensued and the helicopter-vultures and their riders driven away, but only after Dances-With-Lemmings had been brought to the point of death, shrugging off terrible wounds to continue fighting, and the timely intervention of the Ratkin and Declan, a wandering Fianna that had been staying at the Cairn. Genna and Connor, fought superbly - especially for Cubs not even past their Rites of Passage.

Once the direct threat had been removed, the Ratkin led them through the strange Umbral tunnels, only to reappear hundreds of miles away on the Western Isles where their wounds were tended.

Unfortunately, the other captive - a young woman - died during the rescue.

February 18th 2001

The Sept of the Sleeping Lion took the opportunity afforded by a breif lull in the fight against the Wyrm to hold a Moot. As well as singing the Glories of its members, scandals were brought and greivances aired. Unfortunately, Dances-With-Lemmings the Sept Alpha was not in attendance, and the only member of his Pack to attend was Override. Connor decided to take a trip into the Ratkin territory, where he was found by Stig-Of-The-Dump the Ratkin boss, and forcibly ejected back into Garou territory. He was given a map that claimed two thirds of Fife as Ratkin territory, and warned of dire consequences if any Garou was found therein.

However - the Moot was interrupted by Magellan the Corax, who urgently directed them to a letter-drop site. Apparently Magellan had handed a set of translated letters to Dances-With-Lemmings, who had decided not to share the contents with the rest of the Sept. With no time to explain, the Garou rushed to the site...

The Garou arrived at a disused petrol station just outside of Kirkcaldy, where a man was waiting in the Umbra. A car drew up, and another man got out and went straight to a dead letter box. The man in the Umbra accosted the man in the car, but before any information could be gathered, the Garou attacked.

The man in the car died from sheer fright, but the man in the Umbra was captured and revealed to be a Black Spiral Dancer calling himself World-Gone-Red. The Garou killed the BSD outright.

The "letters" were revealed to be pornographic pictures of male and female Garou in various compromising positions - breaking the Veil as well as the Litany - the last of which showing the death and dismemberment of a young female Garou. The photos were shredded at the scene and scattered, leaving the Garou with no leads and no clues as to where they came from.

Magellan was utterly furious, claiming that months of painstaking work had been undone in a single display of bloodlust.

April 8th 2001

During a rather informal meeting of a few of the Sept members, Override recieved a phone call. The man on the other end called himself Fear-Made-Flesh, and claimed to be acting in retaliation for the death of his Kin, suggesting that Override "picked up some elastoplast on the way home" - but when Override checked the number he realised that the call had been made from his home phone number. Rushing back, he found that Lisa, his Kinfolk girlfreind had been brutally murdered and dismembered - upon hearing the Police sirens, he fled the scene. It was not until hearing a newsbreak that he found out that he was the main suspect, and that the public had been urged not to approach him.

Venting his greif, Override travelled to Ratkin territory with Connor, wherein they were accosted by the Stig-Of-The-Dump, the Ratkin Elder. A breif fight ensued, but the numbers of Ratkin - who had overrun the Sept of the Weatheered Glen - kept increasing until a strategic withdrawl was effected.

Upon returning to the Sept, Connor and Override informed the Garou of the taking of the Garou cairn by the Ratkin, and a pack was formed to mete it out with them. When they arrived at the Cairn, however, the Ratkin were no-where to be seen - only their extensive Umbral tunnels. Storm-Of-Sorrow, the Cairn Warder ventured into the tunnels alone. He has not been seen since...

10th June 2001
(OOC - This was the May Domain game, rescheduled so as not to clash with the Cam UK National Conclave)

When the Sept had a collective vision about a wounded White Stag dying from infected wounds as spiders swarmed over it, they found that Caledonia, the Umbral realm, which links every Scottish Cairn and place of importance under invasion by an army of Weaver Spirits and Wyrm allies. These Weaver Spirits took the form of the Redcoat army that ravaged the Highlands of Scotland during the late 18th century, and although the Wyld realm of Caledonia had thrown up its own immune response in the form of wild-eyed, hairy Highlanders, the Weaver was steadily making ground. The Wyld defenders - although strong individually - were too chaotic and disorginised to mount a cohesive opposition, so the Sept (already severely depleted in strength due to the absence of many of its warriors) threw its weight behind the Wyldish defenders. They turned the tide of a single battle by wreaking bloody havoc in the ranks of the invading army, and captured two Weaver spirits and a Black Spiral Dancer (wearing the Redcoat of the Weaver army) but the massed ranks of the Weaver forces marches on...

Geneveive the Cub managed to best the new Cairn Warder of the Sleeping Lion, Full-Moon-Rising in a challenge. Override, the Master of Challenges set the criteria for victory as being the "last one standing", and although Full-Moon-Rising greivously wounded Geneveive several times, almost killing her without taking a single scratch himself, she outsmarted him by tripping him up and winning the challenge!

17th June 2001

As the Weaver Army continued to sweep across Caledonia, the Sept was joined by reinforcements in the shape of a wandering pack of Get of Fenris, led by Rage. When the rogue ronin Cock-'O-The-Walk arrived to interrogate the captive spirits, he was set upon by Rage and his pack - Cock-'O-The-Walk later limped away after being severly injured. The Black Spiral captive mysteriously escaped whilst in their custody, and although Rage and his pack went looking for him, they only ended up following the scent of Connor and Rune, who were scouting the area.
Compounding this, the Sept came under fierce criticism from the Garou Nation over the Quest they pledged to Lion, their Sept Totem. Many of the Elders of the Nation have utterly rejected the idea that the Black Spirals can be redeemed, nor the White Howler Tribe reborn, and harsh words have been spoken by Full-Moon-Rising the new Cairn Warder of the Leoghann Caidil, who has seen the concerns of the Nation as interference. Some Elders, most notably from the Children of Gaia have voiced support, but as a whole, the Cairn de na Leoghann Caidil stands alone...

Connor and Geneveive, the truculent Silver Fang Cubs travelled down to the Garou gathering held in the North-East of England, and distinguished themselves well in battle. Geneveive eventually passed through her Rite of Passage, but Connor has been refused permission to leave the Sept again whilst Caledonia is still under attack.
