Welcome To West Coffee Middle School!

We are so glad you could stop by to visit and hope you enjoy your stay. WCMS is a sixth through eighth grade school that has alot to offer to it's students. In these pages you will find information pertaining to WCMS as well as information you may use in your own school. Any comments and/or suggestions are always welcome.

West Coffee Middle School, with a student population of 1,122, is located in Douglas, a small town in southeast Georgia. Here at WCMS, we strive to project a comfortable learning atmosphere for all of our students. The faculty and staff, influenced by a need to respond to declining socio-economic conditions among the student body and significant overcrowding, have accepted a mission to provide a safe and active learning environment that fosters happy, productive, lifelong learners prepared to compete in a global society. In our family of learners, the Counselors play an integral role in the affective education of our students. Each of our teachers serve as instructional leaders rather than disseminators of information. WCMS has risen to the challenges of student diversity and overcrowding by implementing a team approach to teaching and learning. Our staff embraces school change as necessary to ensure that the needs of all students are met. This collaborative effort validates the efforts of students, staff, parents and the community as WCMS strives for total school excellence.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our school. Please stop back by often to see how this site develops and to enjoy what it has to offer.
