Darren began dancing at the June Pughe School of Dance in Coventry and went on to graduate from Laine Theatre Arts with his teaching qualifications.
Most recently he appeared in the original cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium in the ensemble, understudying the role of Goran. Prior to that he was a member of the original cast of Dorothy Fields Forever at the Jermyn Street Theatre. He also played the role of Curtis Halleybread and understudied the role of Michael Spofford in The Witches of Eastwick (Prince of Wales Theatre) and was a featured artist in the original cast of Fosse (Prince of Wales Theatre) where he got to work with the incredible Gwen Verdon. Other theatre credits include Chicago (Adelphi Theatre), Scotty in Merrily We Roll Along, Rhythms of the Celts (Edinburgh Playhouse) and the QE2 world cruise 2001.
He was also assistant choreographer for the NYMT's production of Tin Pan Ali (Edinburgh Festival) and Bugsy Malone (Queen's Theatre).
