Gavin trained at Laine Theatre Arts in Epson, Surrey. Whilst still at college he was chosen to appear in the 1994 Royal Variety Performance at the Dominion Theatre and the 1995 VE Day Royal Gala live from the London Coliseum and attended by HRH The Prince of Wales.
Since completing his training he has added to his list of television credits with The Prince's Trust Royal Gala at the Albert Hall and the Shirley Bassey Television Special to celebrate her 60th birthday. Trade shows include The Walt Disney Show in Rome to launch The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Gavin has also appeared in summer seasons in Blackpool and Morecambe and four pantomimes, the most recent being Robin Hood and Babes in the Wood at Wimbledon Theatre.
Gavin can be seen on the video of 'Summer Holiday' with Darren Day and Mark McGee.
His last theatre work was in 'Grease'. He played the part of "Richie", he was second understudy for the part of "Sonny" and also second understudy for the part of "Doody", he was brilliant in each and every role.
He is currently working with B*Witched with there single "Jump Down". He can also be seen as one of the dancers with Lolly, and appears in Lolly's video. He has appeared on "Top of the Pops", "CD:UK", "The Pepsi Chart", "Tonight at the London Palladium", "London Today" and "FBI" with either B*Witched or Lolly.
Gavin has done several pre recordings on Stars In Their Eyes, backing vocal and dancer. He was seen backing for "Gary Barlow", Olivia Newton John", Roy Orbison", "Geri", "Doris Day" and a few others.
"When I saw him last he did say that he thought he would be recording more but I don't know when that will be, it will not be the next series as I did ask his agents. Gavin can be seen in the programme of 'Saturday Night Fever' advertising the Merchandise . When I saw him back in March he said that he had just been to, I think it was, Paris to promote 'Saturday Night Fever'.
I'm sure I remember him telling me that his Birthday is on the 1st April but I never had the guts to asked him which year he was born.
I have no idea if Gavin is going into anymore theatre work at the moment. When I saw him he said that he is enjoying doing work outside of the theatre. Gavin as a person I would say he is a very talented guy, can dance, sing, act, comedy like I saw him do in the last matinee of Grease. He is a friendly genuine guy, and always had time to chat to people at the stage door". (Lyn Macdonald)
A big thank you to Lyn for the above :-) Since it was written Gavin has been continuing dancing for many big pop acts such as Atomic Kitten, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Hear'say.
