Les Misérables

Les Misérables is said to be "the world's most popular musical". It opened in October 1985 and is still going strong at The Palace Theatre, London. It is based on the novel by Victor Hugo. The story is about an escaped prisoner Jean Valjean and is set during the 19th Century in France. The amazing score includes: "On My Own", "One Day More", "Bring Him Home", "Do You Hear The People Sing" and "Master Of The House".

The original cast included Colm Wilkinson as "Valjean" and Michael Ball as "Marius".

They both star in the 10th Anniversary video of Les Misérables that was filmed at The Albert Hall, London in 1995. It is well worth a watch and captures the excellence of the musical.
