DISCLAIMER: I have worked on this family off and on for 13 years. My gr.gr.gr.Grandmother was Jane P. CLOPTON. Have NOT found proof that Guy Kitrell Clopton is the father of Jane and Martha. But according to the 1820 census he was a little older than these ladies. Was he a brother? All three were in Roane County, Tennesee approximately the same time. Then Guy is found in Rutherford County, TN in 1820 age being 45 plus years. Did this family come from New Kent County, Virginia. It is stated that Martha came from New Kent County. But I can NOT make a connection to anyone there. Any help would be appreciated. Would also love to know more about the McAffrey family. This is everything that I have! Wanda

ЕЕ 2 Jane P. CLOPTON was born on 30 April 1782 in Virginia. She died on 10 April 1841 in Roane County, Tennessee. Jane married James Hanks MILLER on 2 January 1802. James was son of Henry MILLER and Martha C. WYLY. James was born on 23 August 1780 in Cripple Creek, Wythe County, Virginia. He died on 6 February 1854 in Bradley County, Tennessee.

NOTE: (1)Patsye Clopton married Terrence McAffry 12 July 1805 in Roane Co, TN. Could Martha 'Patsye' be a sister?.. James and Jane Miller named one of their children Terrence. And Martha and Terrence named one of their children James.
(2)Have seen Jane's middle name as Peyton but do not know if this has been proven.
(3) Chancery Court: Roane Co, TN. This affivant Jane P Miller the wife & agent of James H Miller in the suit __ s'd Miller vs Henry Breazeale & others. 25 May 1830. Signed by Jane P Miller.

NOTE: There were several pages to this Bible. It lists the birth of their eleven children and some of their deaths. Very hard to read.

ЕЕ 3 Martha C. MILLER was born on 5 October 1802 in Roane County, Tennessee. She died in October 1815 in Roane County, Tennessee.

ЕЕ 3 Mary or Sary Jane MILLER was born on 25 September 1804 in Roane County, Tennessee. She died on 29 July 1805 in Roane County, Tennessee.

ЕЕ 3 William H. MILLER was born on 18 June 1806 in Roane County, Tennessee. He died on 12 November 1838.

NOTE: (1)There was a William died in a Tennessee State Prison. Do not know if this is the one.

ЕЕ 3 Elizabeth Maria MILLER was born on 23 November 1808 in Roane County, Tennessee. She died about 1866 in Dade County, Georgia. Elizabeth married Washington BACON on 8 June 1825 in Roane County, Tennessee. Washington was born on 8 November 1799 in Lunenburg County, Virginia. He died on 15 April 1887 in Cleburne County, Alabama and was buried in Borden Cemetery, Cleburne County, Alabama.

ЕЕ 3 Andrew Payton MILLER was born on 12 June 1811 in Roane County, Tennessee. He died on 9 March 1872 in Bradley County, Tennessee and was buried in Plowman Cemetery, Bradley County. Andrew married (1) Susan KELLY. She was born on 16 March 1815. She died on 7 November 1867. Andrew married (2) Mary Jane NORTH on 22 November 1868 in Bradley County, Tennessee. Mary was born on 9 February 1841 in Bradley Count, Tennessee. She died on 9 April 1930 and was buried in Pine Hill Cemetery, Bradley County, Tennessee.

ЕЕ 3 Joel H. 'Joe' MILLER was born on 30 August 1813 in Roane County, Tennessee. Joel married Gilphia UNKNOWN before 1835. Gilphia was born about 1810.

ЕЕ 3 Evaline F. MILLER was born about 1814 in Roane County, Tennessee. She died on 3 August 1850 in Bradley County, Tennessee. Evaline married (1) Major M. DOBBINS on 7 April 1836 in Roane County, Tennessee. Major was born about 1817. Evaline married (2) Unknown MASSEY.

ЕЕ 3 Ephraim Lewis Moore MILLER was born on 4 February 1816 in Roane County, Tennessee. He died on 1 November 1889 in Roane County, Tennessee and was buried in Allen Cemetery #1. Ephraim married Emaline 'Lena' LITTLETON on 27 July 1841 in Roane County, Tennessee. Emaline was born on 12 February 1822 in Roane County to Thomas LITTLETON and Mary 'Polly' MATLOCK. She died on 24 May 1899 in Whitman County, Washington and was buried in Oakesdale Cemetery, Whitman County.

ЕЕ 3 Terrance M. MILLER was born on 20 July 1823 in Roane County, Tennessee. He died before 1900. Terrance married Mary Ann LITTLETON 17 December 1845 in Roane County, Tennessee. Mary was born about 1823 in Roane County, Tennessee to James LITTLETON and Katharine BROWN. Mary died before 1880 in Roane County.
