1. Ambrose COPELAND was born about 1770 in North Carolina. He died 22 October 1843 in Roane County, Tennessee. Ambrose married (1) Catherine CARSON before 1800. Catherine was born about 1783. Ambrose married (2) Sarah WHITE before 1803 in North Carolina. She was born about 1783 in North Carolina to Moses WHITE. Sarah was born about 1783 in North Carolina. She died 27 January 1851 in Roane County. Both are buried at Cox-Copeland Cemetery in Roane County, Tennessee.

NOTE: (1)Not sure of wives names.
(2)Ambrose listed on an estate sale of Richard White dated Mar 1841, Roane Co., TN.   Is this a father or brother of Sarah?.
(3) 1802 Tax list are James Copeland and William Copeland. Were one of these Ambrose's father? James Copeland was also on 1805 Tax list.
