I will also add others as I find them, so check back often.....Thanks…Wanda TENNESSEE GREENE COUNTY Deed Book 7, pg 263, dated 26 Feb 1834 Hannah Loyd, Thomas Loyd, to John Crabtree for $550 = 180 acres on head waters of Sinking Creek. Signed: John Loyd, Thomas Loyd, Hannah (her X mark) Loyd Witnesses: Michael Frackor,Wm Crabtree,Groavener McNew Recorded 27 Oct 1834 Deed Book 26, pg 79, dated 1850 Archibald Babb Administrator of Daniel Crabtree, dec’d. Second Monday of October 1850 = (Daniel died March 1850). Children: Alexander B., William, Mary, George, Archibald, who are all minors nor old enough to pay debts. 70 acres lying in District 16; joining the lands of Lanty Armstrong, John Bailey, John Jones. The said undivided interest in reaminder was derived from the intestate father Barnet Crabtree, dec’d. - who at his death had bequeathed said land to mother, Margaret Crabtree during her live. Book 26, pg 79 (continued) Then equal share ot all sons, William, John, Henry, Barnet, James, and Daniel and minors Archibald, William, Mary, Alexander, George, by John Pluiger, Esq., their guardian. Land is to be sold and applied to payment of estate. Witness: Chas Bright, John Milligan. Deed Book, 27, pg 126, dated 1854 Samuel Beales, now deceased, by his last will wanted all his lands to be sold. Charles Bright and John Crabtree were his executors. The executors thought best to seel the land to John Crabtree, Exec., above said. After land being advertised on 9 October 1845. However, Samuel Haysbeing last bidder being purchaser at $1,751.25 for 200 acres. Adj, the lands of Hiram Fraker, John Fraker, Sr., corner to Pickering line, now Hawkins – 29 Aug 1854. Deed Book 27, pg 553, dated 1856 E. F. Mercer to John Crabtree for $150, 25 ¼ acres in District 15. Signed: E. F. Mercer Witness: Abraham Naff Wm. H. Crawford Recorded: 16 February 1856 Deed Book 27 pg 554, dated 1848 E. F. Mercer to John Crabtree, $500 for 74 ¾ acres in District 15. Begin at a Red oak corner to Abraham Naff corner and a conditional line with Armstrong. Signed: E. F. Mercer Witness: Abram Naff Wm. H. Crawford Recorded: 19 January 1848 Deed Book 28, pg 52 dated 1851 W. H. Crawford to John Crabtree $105 for 52 acres in District 14. Corner to Abraham Fraker’s land. Signed: W. H. Crawford Witness: Hugh Carter, Barnet Crabtree Recorded: November 1851 Deed Book 28, pg 71 dated 1850 William Crabtree and Esther Crabtree formerly Esther Stonecipher his wife, one of the heirs of Solomon Stonecipher and Elizabeth Stonecipher, his wife, formerly Elizabeth Hawkins, sells to Seth Babb all their interest in a ceratin tract of land belonging to said Solomon and Elizabeth Stonecipher for $44; adj. Brogdon to John Crabtree, Esq. For $1, Deed of Trust – Hew owes Brogdon $25.00 Signed. T. Brogdon Witness: Michael Myers, Wm Myers Recorded 3 September 1857 Deed Book 30, pg 305, dated 1859 William Crabtree Sr. sells to William C. Crabtree $150 for 50 acres, District 15. Witness: Alexander B. Crabtree, Barnet Crabtree Deed Book 30, pg 306, dated 1859 William Crabtree to Barnet Crabtree Sr., 30 acres in District 16, joining lands of John Jones, John Bailey, Lanty Armstrong and others. Signed: Wm. Crabtree Witness: Barnett Crabtree, Jr., Alexander B. Crabtree Recorded: 10 October 1859 Deed Book 33, pg 303, dated 1862 Wm. C. Crabtree, Jr. conveys to Wm. Crabtree Sr. $150 for 50 acres in District 15. Signed: Wm Crabtree Witness: John Crabtree, Barnet Crabtree Recorded: 1 August 1862 WASHINGTON COUNTY Do not know county but presume it was Washington County since Terry and Sue were living there in 1880. Deed Bk, 48, pg 237 - Terry Crabtree and wife Sue E. to John Arnold 18 Aug 1881 for $175. Tracts of parcels of land and an undivided interest in another, all of said land on the head waters of Fall Branch in District 7. 2 said Co & State joining the lands of Jas. Haws, J. B. Cubine, E. Templeton, Reuben Underwood and Will's heirs. (1) 4 acres (2) 26 acres. (3) being my undivided interest in the Page lands - lying and being between the two other tracts. Signed T. W. Crabtree, Sue E.
