Just a note... I have always had John's name as John Crawford.  But I do not know where I got the information or the source that was used.  


… 2 John Crawford CRABTREE was born 16 December 1801, and died before 1870 in Greene County, Tennessee.  He married Sarah YEAKLEY on 30 December 1830 in Greene County, Tennessee.  She was born about 1814 in Tennessee.

……… 4 Sion Perry 'Crawford' CRABTREE was born 19 July 1851 in Greene County, Tennessee, and died 9 January 1926 in Greene County, Tennessee .  He married (1)CATHARINE ASTEN 1868; they divorced.  He married (2)Sarah Florance WOODS on 22 August 1880 in Greene County, Tennessee. She was born 5 September 1853 in Tennessee to David WOOD and Eliza UNKNOWN.  She died 17 November 1917 in Greene County, Tennessee. Both buried at Mt Bethel Christian Church Cemetery, Greene County, TN

NOTE: (1)Was called Crawford in his grandfather’s will
(2)On 1860 and 1870 living with his grandparents did not appear on any other census.  This was confusing to me.  Because was told that he inherited his grandfather’s land after his grandmother died. And will states he will inherited it, if he took care of his grandmother.
(3)Have as his first wife Catharine and was told that she died during childbirth; However, on the 1880 census he said his marital status was D = Divorced.
(4)I had an S. P. Crabtree, to me that just appeared out of no where and I could not find where he came from.  He first appeard on 1880 then was on census thru 1930. I thought that there might be something there but it didn’t click right away.  I had a note which stated Sion P. was child of Rutha but I just could not make the connection. Andrea told me that Sion Perry and Crawford were the same person.  Mystery solved.  Thanks Andrea

(2)Per Andrea ..John Crabtree played the violin and he was bright. This was his third marriage [Mary Tennesse Likens]; all his children were 1st cousins.
(3) Per Andrea...Mary 's mother Elizabeth is the 1st cousin of John L C's father Barney. You'll have to see the Yeakley tree to see how it fits.
(4)Andrea states that this was the third marriage for him.  However, according to the 1910 census the marriage to Mary M. ‘Tennessee’ was about 1898 and the census states that this was his second marriage.
(5)Some information in my stuff was from a write-up that someone had sent me.  I forgot I even had it. And, I apologize for not knowing the source on this one.  It lists his first two wives and his second wife's son. Eliza Lloyd and Janie Peters McAfee and her son Henry McAfee.
