John married (2) Mary Benton ROBERTS in Washington County, Virginia. Mary was widow of Corneluis ROBERTS. Per Pat McDonald. Granted to Frost by Patent date 20 June 1785. Sig: John Frost, Mary Frost Wit: (blank) Ret: 19 May 1795. Known children of John and Mary Francis: 3 John FROST Jr. 3 Edward FROST was born about 1770. Edward married Amilla ROBERTS on 3 October 1791 in Washington County, Virginia. She was born about 1776 to Cornelius ROBERTS and Mary BENTON. NOTE: I had one child for this family (Snowing). She married Joseph DUNAWAY on 28 August 1811 in Madison County, Mississippi Territory. 4 Hannah FROST was born about 1793 to 1795 in Washington County, Virginia. She died after 1860 in Morgan County, Alabama. She married (1) Marshall Abraham SMALLING on 21 December 1811 in Madison County, Mississippi Territory. She married (2)Thomas R. JOHNSON on 24 September 1855 in Morgan County, Alabama 4 Martha FROST was born about 1793 to 1795 in Washington County, Virginia. She died between February 1841 and March 1844 in Madison County, Alabama. She married Isaac INMAN on 5 August 1817 in Madison County, Albabama Territory. 4 William R. FROST was born about 1795/1797 in Washington County, Virginia and died about 1840 in Alabama. He married Lucinda R SMITH on 16 September 1823 in Madison County, Alabama. He married Susannah ODEN on 24 February 1825 in Madison County, Alabama. Susannah was born about 1807 and died about 1883. Sarah was born about 1843. 5 Hezekiah FROST was born on 3 March 1833. He died on 21 July 1901. Hezekiah married HazyAnn Eliza DRINKARD on 21 February 1856 in Morgan County, Alabama. HazyAnn was born on 3 February 1837. She died on 9 August 1898. 4 Susanna FROST was born about 1800 in Knox County, Tennessee and died about 1867 in Parker County, Texas. She married (1)Isaac MEDLIN on 7 September 1822 in Madison County, Alabama. She married (2)James BRODGEN on 28 December 1826 in Morgan County, Alabama. 4 Edward Ned FROST was born 14 January 1804 in Anderson County, Tennessee. He died 4 October 1875 in Corona, Walker County, Alabama and was buried at Frost Graveyard, West Corona, Alabama. He married (1)Elizabeth ROGERS on 16 September 1833 in Talladega County, Alabama and married (2)Jane JENKINS on 23 February 1838 in Morgan County, Alabama. CENSUS: 1840 AL, Walker County, pg 292; Edward Frost, 210001-0100021 4 Senia Sinia FROST was born about 1811 in Madison County Alabama. She died between April 1860 and October 1861 and was buried at Frost Graveyard, West Corona, Alabama. She married James S. WILLIAMS on 14 June 1836 in Morgan County, Alabama. 3 Frances FROST. 3 Hannah FROST. 2 Joseph FROST Jr. (Joseph) was born about 1753 in Virginia. He died about 1840 in Coles County, Illinois. Joseph married Annie BROOKS on 20 July 1786 in Washington County, Virginia. NOTES: (1)Bought land on North Fork of Holston River in 1783. (2)In 1796, bought 100 acres in edge of Knox Co,TN which as Anderson Co, in 1801. (3)About 1831 they moved to Coles Co, IL, probably to be with some of their children. Was in Coles Co, IL in 1834 with son William. (4)Served as "Messenger" from Beaver Ridge Church 1803-1823. (5)Sold land in 1818 to sons Samuel and William for $1.00 (Washington Co, VA).. In his will, Joseph Frost names sons William and Joseph, heirs of Samuel, Susan Frost--widow of my son Joel. Exec. Israel J Monfort; Wit: J T Minnick and Thomas I White. Known children of Joseph Jr and Annie: 3 Samuel FROST was born about 1775. He died about 1837 in Anderson County, Tennessee. Samuel married Elizabeth UNKNOWN.
