GRUBB - FACTS |
In researching my Grubb ancestors I have made several trips to Virginia and have copied many documents from the Courthouse in Wythe County. I have worked on this family off and on for about fifteen years, and have proven my direct line. But, in doing my research I have collected a lot of documents that I will share here as time permits. My ancestor Henry Grubb left his will in Wythe County in 1804. He is the progenitor of many of our Grubb ancestors that lived in the beautiful town of Wythville, Reed Creek area, and other parts of the country. Over the next few months I will try to post some transcribed documents on this webpage. I will only post ones that prove a relationship to another person of the Henry Grubb descendants. I am only human and I make human errors...SO, if you find something that I have transcribed wrong, please contact me. In most cases I will type what is written whether spelled correctly or not and whether using good or bad grammer. On census records remember that there will probably be several errors, some by the person giving the information, some by the census taker and some by me who had to try and read some of the handwriting. I hope some of this will benefit just one person... in doing so this will be worth all the effort put forth by myself... I hope you make a connection to this wonderful Grubb family. Please feel free to copy and use any information that you find that pertain to your individual family. But I do ask that you do not copy the entire contents of my pages. Since they are my translations they would be under the copyright laws. I know that a court document is not copyrighted but my interputation of that document would be... Created 17 March 2003 |
