Solomon HALL |
NOTE: Sevearl years ago myself and Marlene Scott (learned this week (July 2004) that she is now deceased) worked with a gentleman who had this line intertwined with another Hall line. The line that we three descend from had moved to Roane County, TN. He had used information from the Greene County, TN line and had mistaken some of the children as Solomons. While working with him (George) and trying to get him straight on this line, Marlene and I sent him numerous pages of documentation. We had to send the documentation because he insisted that he was right. So, to prove to him that he was wrong we each copied our information for him. After doing so
he then tells us that he was putting together a book. Which he did. Instead of correcting things that we pointed out he just incorporated our information with his. He send us a complementary copy and credit us for helping him. What he put in the book is not a reflection of our work or the way that we would have wished it to be done. I was furious to see that he had listed me as a source and then going on to see how he had put our work together with his. He even went so far as to put it on a CD to sale. Lesson learned!!
just be careful who you share with. It took me years after that to even to be able to share my work again. By putting this on the internet I hope that it will help others. If you would like additional information on this line please email me. I will list each child of Solomon and Mornings and who they married. I will not list their children. I will leave my documentation so that you may be able to figure out some of their children by the census that I used. If not email me. 3 Solomon HALL was born about 1795 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. He died on 20 July 1864 in Robertsville, Anderson County, Tennessee. He married Morning INGRAM on 24 December 1817 in Milton, Caswell County, North Carolina. She was born about 1797/1798 in Virginia to Garland INGRAM and Johannah 'Anna' MAYES. She died on 20 November 1879 in Robertsville, Anderson County, Tennessee. NOTE: Some people have that Morning is the daughter of one of Garlands brother, Tarpley. And, some have gotten into to DAR using him..but I dont know what information they used. What makes me think that she is Garlands. Solomon Hall and Garland Ingram both in Roane County, TN in 1820.
