Known children for Lutsinger.

…2 Phillip LUTSINGER.  He married Sarah UNKNOWN.

NOTE: (1)Philip and a Michael Lutsinger arrived in Philadelphia, PA on 9 September 1738 aboard the ship
"Glasgow" from Rotterdam. He was 29. They were one of 120 men and 229 women and children who
sailed together from Europe.
(2)Phillip Lutsinger In "Monocacy and Catoctin" pg 95, Philip Litsinger is mentioned as head of families of Frederick Co, MD; who in Mar 1766 petitioned the Governor to call the MD assembly for the purpose of issuing bills of credit (paper money).
(3) He is listed in Frederick Co, MD on land deed he and wife Sarah sold land to Peter Yeader. Their land was called "Philips Chance" and was located in the area of Little Antietam, which was southwest of the town of Frederick.
(4)Phillip appears in Loudoun Co, VA. It is in Loudoun Co, VA Philip Lutesinger where he made his will in which he mentioned his wife Sarah and children Michael, Philip and Rebecca.


Known children of Philip Sr. and Sarah:

……3 Philip LETSINGER Sr. was born about 1769 in Frederick County, Maryland. He died after 1840 in Roane County, Tennessee. Philip married (1)Nancy Ann PETTIT on 27 July 1789 in Bedford County, Virginia. She is thought to be daughter of Lewis PETTIT; but it has not been proven. He married (2) Elizabeth MCDANIEL. Elizabeth died after 1850 in Tennessee.

NOTE: (1)Note from John Shinpaugh 9/22/00.  "Philip's probate record. The one part of that record of most interest to us is the list of debtors. That is where I found several Letsinger males named John, Allen, Daniel, Jacob and Lewis. Also, in that same list were the names Henry Shinpaw, who was my gg-grandfather, and Isaac Black, who was probably an ancestor (father/grandfather?) of Warren Black who married Frances Emeline Letsinger, daughter of Allen and Elizabeth (Cole) Letsinger".  He said that this probate record was found in Knox Co, TN.
(2)Philip died the next year after his marriage to Elizabeth.
(3)Pension file says that he was about 70 years old when he died.

………4 Sarah 'Sally' LETSINGER was born about 1790 in Washington County, Tennessee. She married Samuel DAVIS on 1 January 1810 in Washington County, Tennessee.

………4 Mary Alice 'Polly' LETSINGER was born about 1797. She married Jacob HUFFSTEDLER on 12 November 1817 in Knox County, Tennessee.

………4 Frances Elizabeth LETSINGER was born in 1801 in Tennessee. 

………4 Phillip LETSINGER Jr. was born about 1800 in Tennessee. He married Susan EDMONDSON on 2 February 1826 in Knox County, Tennessee.

………4 Susan LETSINGER. She married Henry SHINPACH on 24 July 1832 in Knox County, Tennessee. He was son of Henry SHINPAUGH and Elizabeth MCDANIEL.
