Strange, Sweet Seanchan Soup with Balls of Goo
submitted by Wayward Fool

Ingredients
Dough:
350g Glutinous rice flour
1 pinch of salt
cup of boiling water
food coloring (1 color per Ajah. ...except maybe Grays or Whites... NO
BLACK EITHER.  You can add Orange or whatever if you like too. Have fun!)

Soup:
8 cups of water
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups white sugar
5 pandan leaves (tied into a tight knot to release aroma)
20 oz crystalized ginger

To Cook
Knead dough until even.  The more you knead the better the balls will be in the end, so knead away.  Fun addition: get the kiddies involved! (not so fun addition: HOLY CRAP! What a MESS!)
Seperate dough into as many portions as there are food coloring colors. Knead one color into each portion of dough until color is even.
Then get your kids and WHILE YOU SUPERVISE, roll the dough into bead sized balls. Make them balls and not thin flat shapes or we'll have a HUGE mess in the end! Put them in a bowl. To prevent balls from sticking to one another you may coat them with some tapioca or glutinous rice flour.  (You can skip the food coloring if you're too tired, it's more fun with colors, but not necessary, especially when you're damned tv watching, beer chugging, burp making hubby of yours, is no help!)
Mix soup ingredients into a pot and bring to a boil.  Pour balls in, be careful to seperate each ball from any others first.  Continue to boil until the balls look semi-transparent and are slightly gooey.
Served chilled with a sprinkling of crystallized ginger.

Evil Bloody Pasta Thing of Shayol Ghul,
          with Meaty Hunks of Unknown...Meat.
Submitted by Wayward Fool

For Sauce:
5 tomatoes. Peeled and pureed.
1/4 cup catsup (she means ketchup)
1/4 lb. raisins
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup water
salt and pepper to taste

Meat:
Sausage, sliced (any kind you like, Trollocs like human best...)
1/2 lb. beef, minced

Other Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup corn
1/2 cup peas
5 carrots cut into chunks **note** chunks are sweeter, but slower cooking.  If you want fast, just cub the buggers.  Or better yet, just buy a bag of frozen mixed veggies and use those.
salt and pepper to taste
more catsup (ketchup again) if desired
Pasta (duh)

To Cook:
Fry sausages in butter until it looks nice and brown.  Remove sausages ONLY, and set aside. Leave the melted butter and drippings in the pan.
Fry minced beef in this remaining mix until pleasant smelling and brown, or gray, depending on your opinion.  (Serenity says: it's gray looking, for sure. *s*)
Add sauce ingredients, EXCEPT raisins.  Bring to a boil and then simmer about 15 minutes, stirring constantly.  Will take longer if using carrot chunks instead of cubes, maybe about 30 minutes. [yikes! that's a lot of sitrring Wayward!] Check the carrot chunks for softness.  (Do NOT let the buggers fool you.  Use a fork and eat one!  Make sure it is nice and soft.)
Switch off heat, add in raisins and leave aside for another 15 minutes.  Good time to do the pasta boiling, no?
Serve with sauce on top of chunky sausages and pasta.  Add parmesan cheese and parsley according to desired taste.
