Chance joined the Zoo in June of 2001. A petstore reject, Chance was sent back to the puppymill he came from who took him to be euthanized as he was seen as a 'waste of time and money'. The wise vet saw this as wrong and had the Broker sign Chance over, where he quickly took him to a shelter. Chance was just three months old. Once safe in the shelter, sweet Chance sat another month before the shelter contacted rescue. I drove over to Iowa and picked him up and fell in love. FOOLISHLY thinking puppies would be EASY to foster, Chance came to live with me after I found it impossible to see him go. He is one of my most affectionate Westie and truly deserved that second 'Chance' at life. |
