The famous paragon of Decorated Gothic and Queen of Holderness, Patrington. Try to ignore the extremely ugly bus ride out of Hull because it does get better. The road towards Spurn Head feels like the middle of nowhere (which it is) , and also feels a few decades back. Patrington spire can be seen from quite a way away, and indeed was built as a navigation spire for ships on the Humber.
Below is a view of one of the transepts in Patrington church. An effortless example of graceful Decorated proportions. My feelings towards this church are all the warmer as I came in when there was a service in and was welcomed by the vicar and had a cup of coffee with the charming worshippers there. I also even managed to get the church to myself and my digital camera afterwards.
