John & Maryann, , I do not believe Richard Wilbourn had a wife before Permilia Minter. The Max G. Wilbourn you name as a son of Richard and first wife was living with James Minter in 1850 in Tallahatchie Co. MS and showed he was born ca. 1816 in SC. I would also say that Max G. is probably Mackerness Goode, Permilia's father's name. If there was any Indian blood in the family it would have to be Permilia's mother, Delilah.

Mackerness Goode Minter died in Edgefield Co SC in 1819 and his children were: William Minter(b. ca. 1795), Martha Ann Minter(m. Tandy Martin Key) in Carroll Co. MS, Permilia Minter, Mackerness Minter (b.ca. 1807), James Minter, (b.ca.1805), Ebenezer Minter (b.ca. 1812)(m. Mary Wilbourn), and John Minter. They all were in Yalabousha Co. MS(except where shown) in the mid 1830's and I saw a note, I believe on the census that Ebenezer had gone to Gonzales Co. TX.

If you have access to Edgefield deeds see deed bk 35/338 and 35/158 if not I will copy them for you. In 1818 Mack. G. deeded property to Richard Wilbourn. Many of the names you show for the children of Richard and Permilia are the same as Permilia's siblings.

Permilia/Pamela Minter is the one who married Richard Wilbourn in Edgefield Dist SC pre 1820. She was the daughter of Mackerness Goode Minter (ca. 1775-1819) and Delilah (?). Mack. was the son of William Minter and Martha (Goode?)Minter. Mack had one sister, AnnaMariah who married Peter Morgan (my line). Mack's sons came to MS in the 1830, and on to Gonzales Co. TX. Have more info if you want it. Sarah
