Facts about the Painted Lady Butterfly
The Painted Lady can be found throughout North America, including Hawaii and southernmost Alaska, but is more likely to be seen in the northern United States and southern Canada. Their host plants are thistle, mallow and hollyhock. Their favorite nectar plants are aster, thistle and buttonbush.
