Brown Thrashers are found all over North Carolina year round. The thrashers that live in my yard like low shrubs, brush piles, and some of the wild berry-producing plants that they find in overgrown fields near our yard.
This video shows you the Brown Thrasher up close as it delivers us a song, and as it tries to scare off a neighbors cat thats too close to its nest. We watch quietly as the thrasher gently pulls a worm out of the ground and you'll see new young birds ready for a hearty meal.
