Subject : Re - Walter Samuel Pascoe

I have a Walter Samuel Pascoe in my tree. He is the brother of my great grandfather Charles Edward Pascoe. Other siblings were William Henry Pascoe and Lucy Maud Mary Pascoe.

I have only managed to locate the family on the 1871 census, living in Willesden (1 Malvern Road).

Father was William Chudleigh Pascoe, aged 34, a painter from Newton Bushel in Devon. Mother was Mary Ann, aged 33 also from Newton Bushel. Mary Ann died later that year and I haven't been able to trace the family until Charles was married and had his own family in 1901. Any connect with your Walter Samuel? Janine

Sorry I forgot to add some dates. In the 1871 census Walter was 1, so I deduce he was born in 1870. Lucy was 3. I have her birth certificate and she was born on 26/12/1867. William Henry was 5 (deduced born in 1866) and Charles Edward was born on16/6/1864. All but William were born in Marylebone and William was born in Paddington.

Ours seem to stem from Burghclere,Hants.
But if you give me a e-mail address I will send you the "gedcom" for our lot.
Will have a look in the London Census as well in case there is anything of interest

yes this is very interesting. It looks like it could be my g grandfather. His wife was called Alice, they were married in 1888 but in 1901 there wasn't an 11 year old child called Lionel, however he could have died or been at school. Also Charles was a boot/shoemaker Can you let me have more details please

I already have that(1851). Also the census in 1861 when William and Ann
moved to London.
They were known as Chudleigh Pascoe as this was William's full name.
Ann died before the 1871 census which is when I lost track of the
family until you found one of the sons (Charles) in 1891.
The other children of William and Ann that I've not been able to trace since 71 are William Henry, Lucy Maud Mary and Walter Samuel.
That is why I contacted you as I thought there may be a connection
with your Walter Samuel.
I have their birth entries but I can'y find them in London on the
the censuses after their mother died.
I also haven't been able to find when their father
William (Chudleigh) Pascoe died.
The search goes on

Use of full name may be of help.will look in my CD's of london
and see if they show

before they quoted ages!
