I am new to model railroading. I plan to build two layouts; a small 8'X4' HO scale and a larger (around the wall) 9'X12' N scale. I will update this site as I build my layouts. To build my Ho layout I bought; 1/2" plywood, 2x2's, 1x3's, nails and screws for the benchwork. Also, Celfort insulation foam and Liquid Nails. Living in a small town pretty much 'out in the sticks' with no hobby shop and knowing nothing about model railroading I got a little carried away on Ebay. I purchased Bachmann EZ-track, steel track and regular nickle-silver. Then I bought some brass track and some nickle-silver Atlas track. Then I purchased crossovers and turnouts; all of it in both HO and N scales. After amassing all of that track I went back to Ebay and started buying train cars. First I purchased HO locomotives; a Proto 2000 GP7, 3 UP's, a CN and a CP. Then, a dozen HO freight cars. Now I was curious about N scale, so I again went back to Ebay. This time I purchased a Bachmann Spectrum, 13 Life-Like locomotives and four dozen freight cars, all in N scale. |
WELCOME! I am William Moores, originally from Deer Lake, Newfoundland. After I retired, my wife and I moved to Elliot Lake, Ontario. I am partitioning off a 9' X 12' room in our basement for model railroading. |
