We are Chuck and Robin Williams and we are excited about the opportunity to become parents through open adoption. We recognize that this must be a difficult decision for you. We are excited about having a child in our lives and we appreciate your desire to choose the right home for your child. We will do our best to give you a picture of who we are and our life together. We hope you will consider us to be your child’s parents.  We have been married for six wonderful years. Our love for each other grew out of a deep friendship that began in middle school. Even before we began dating we always had great fun spending time together. We remain best friends and still enjoy many of the same interests.

Our struggles with infertility over the past five years have been challenging, however, this experience has brought us closer to God and one another. We have always felt a deep desire to be parents and are very excited about the opportunity to adopt. We were drawn to the concept of open adoption because we believe a child should know his or her birthparents and understand that you love him or her and will never forget or stop caring for him or her. Likewise, we want our child’s birthparents to know who we are and to be confident that their child is being raised in a loving, nurturing environment. We look forward to sharing visits, telephone calls, and pictures with our child’s birthparents and maintaining a relationship.

Since we have always wanted to be parents, we have had lots of time to think and pray about how we would raise our children. Above all, we want our children to experience a supportive, loving home that allows them to maximize their potential and become the people God created them to be. Fortunately, we both had wonderful examples in our own families growing up. Our parents were always supportive and loving and would be excellent models to emulate as we become parents. We believe in the importance of faith in our children’s lives and plan to raise them in a Christian home and a caring church. We also believe in the importance of our children having a parent at home with them as they grow. Though Robin works part time now, she plans to stay home with our child once we adopt.
