I am amazed by the simplicity of this drawing: only six points. The six input points define one arm of the "3-arm" polygon. By 120 degree rotation, the pink polygon is generated. The yellow polygon comes from 180 degree (half-turn) of the pink polygon at the wrist of the arm. The co-ordinates of the turquoise star are not needed. The turquoise star is the background that is not yet overlay by the pink and the yellow polygons. This is the power of periodic drawings.

It is not obvious why the unit squares and the unit equilateral triangles can enclose the 6-point stars with sides of 2 unit length. Can someone explain ?
