I am amazed by the simplicity of this drawing: only six points.
The six input points define one arm of the "3-arm" polygon.
By 120 degree rotation, the pink polygon is generated. The
yellow polygon comes from 180 degree (half-turn) of the
pink polygon at the wrist of the arm. The co-ordinates of the
turquoise star are not needed. The turquoise star is the background
that is not yet overlay by the pink and the yellow polygons. This
is the power of periodic drawings.
Geometry description of this design

It is not obvious why the unit squares and the unit equilateral
triangles can enclose the 6-point stars with sides of 2 unit length.
Can someone explain ?
