At the section 2AA meet on Thursday, the Willmar Boys advanced to state by taking second place, led by senior Mahad Hassan and junior Sadam Abdi in 2nd/3rd place individually. The girls placed 7th led by junior Jayne Cole in 16th place. All the rankings have been updated to their current status. State Meet Preview is now up!
Sorry about not updating the site recently. There haven't been any results online for the St.Cloud meet or Conference either Sectional Meets have begun as of today and 2AA, which includes Willmar, goes off on Thursday 10/23 in Chaska where the boys will look to head back to state for a 5th straight year. I will have new rankings up this weekend after section meet's are all concluded and will provide a State Meet Preview as well.
This past Saturday, the Cardinals were in action in the Meet of Champions. The boys took 7th and the girls 17th. The boys were led by Mahad Hassan in first and the girls led by Jayne Cole in 37th. Story/Meet results will be posted shortly The Cardinals have a meet on October 7th in St. Cloud. New NXN HL rankings are up along with my state rankings. New state rankings should come out tomorrow.
The Willmar Cardinals holded their invitational this past Saturday. The boys placed 3rd overall led by a first place finish by Mahad Hassan and the girls placed 6th led by Jayne Cole in 10th place. Results/Story from the meet are up. All of the rankings (my state/state/national) are now updated to their current rankings. Willmar's next meet is the Meet of Champions in Alexandria on Saturday Oct. 4th.
The Cardinals placed 4th for boys and 14th for girls (despite missing several key runners) at Apple Valley this weekend. The boys were led by Mahad Hassan in first and girls by Jayne Cole in 20th. Results are up on the results page too.. New My State Rankings are out and State Rankings should be out today or tomorrow. Also new National Rankings are out for NXN Regionals.
The Cardinals took action in Hutchinson yesterday where the boys took the team title over Sartell. The boys were led by Mahad Hassan in second place behind Zac Mellon of Buffalo. The girls took 7th led by Jayne Cole who placed 8th overall. Next up is Apple Valley on Saturday the 20th. The new NXN Regional Ratings are out along with My State Rankings. State Rankings are out too.
The Willmar Cardinals competed at Hopkins this past weekend. The boys placed 6th as a team led by Mahad Hassan in 5th. The girls placed 11th led by Jayne Cole in 18th. Results are up for Willmar. Also out are the new state rankings, new my state rankings, new national rankings as well for NXN regional and US Super25. Next up for Willmar is Hutchinson Invitational on Thursday.
The team roster has been updated for the current Cardinals. Also, My state Rankings for 9/1 have been updated. The current state rankings have been upgraded as well. A lot of jumbling occured on both the boys and girls teams and individuals, so check it out!
The first national rankings are out for the first time. One Minnesota team cracked the top25. The Moorhead results are up on the results page. The Willmar boys finished 3rd and the girls finished 4th. The next meet is September 6th, a meet hosted by Hopkins run at Gale Woods Farm. Also, a roster of the team will be put up as soon as possible.
The Willmar Cardinals opened up at the CLC Jamboree on the 8/21 at St.Cloud. There were no official results taken, but the team had an impressive performance on both the guys and girls side. The team's first official meet is on Monday, 8/25 at Moorhead.

Well, the 2008 season is upon us! Only 4 days away. The site for 2008 is up and ready with more information coming as received. There are links for the 2006 & 2007 season above as well.
