To those who's fruit's been judged "not to be",
hanging on their "scrawny" tree,
here is a poem given to me,
to share with those who are in need.

God's Garden
God has a garden you can't always see
It starts underground and grows like a tree
It fills the whole earth from mountain to sea
This garden of God that's in you and me

Though the small seed is fragile and dry
It's strengthened by waters of tears that it cries
It's nourished with warmth from the Son in the sky
This seed that's been planted within you and I

As the plant grows some flowers appear
The King knows its beauty and loves to draw near
He speaks tender words so cherished, so dear
And holds this young heart year after year

Pruning time comes, so painful a part
For plants need to cut sin out of their heart
Then they will grow strong and wise and smart
So fruit will be fresh and juicy and tart

You may not see fruit growing there
The tree may look empty and fruitless and bare
The Gardener, He knows and tends it with care
To bring forth fruit that wasn't once there

Compassion, mercy and love with a flare
Will grow on these trees because He does care
They'll grow on the branches once broken and bare
Mended by love and tenderness there

So though you may not see fruit on the tree
Remember He's Faithful, the fruit you will see
Remember He's promised our image to be
The likeness of Christ, predestined are we

Just remember that you usually can't see what the Spirit is doing and planning in our lives. Trust Him with all your heart. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He is always there.
