Its the season to think of fires burning, and snow falling if you live in the colder areas of the Northern Hemisphere, and tree decoration no matter where you live.

This is the season of goodwill, and giving.  I enjoy this time of year, however where I live in Australia it is always HOT, and steamy, being in the sub-tropics. Still I always do a big roast meal with plum pudding and the works, usually as the evening meal.  Lunch is seafood, and salads.
