He married Agnes Melissa Nelson Simpson on November 7, 1894 in Lakefield Township, Peterborough County, Ontario. Robert and Agnes had two children: Elgin Milton Sacret born August 8, 1896 in the township of Brumel, Muskoka County, Otnario. Elgin died May 13, 1906 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Ruby Sacret born in 1895.
