Jean-Francois Leboeuf
West End Gang
Jean-Francois Leboeuf  was born in  Valleyfield, Quebec in 1954. By the early 1980s, he had become  one of the  most trusted soldiers of Allan  Strong, an  influential  lieutenant  in the  powerful West End Gang of  Montreal. Strong  trusted Lebeouf completely  and included him in the most secretive of dealings.

In  the 1980s, The  West End Gang and  a Columbian drug cartel led  by Angel Sanchez collaborated to ship large quantities of cocaine to Europe. While some of  the shipment was destined for the Sicilian Mafia, most was to be distributed through out  Spain by the Montreal organization.
For this task Allan "The Weasel" Ross, the leader of  the organization, entrusted  Allan Strong. Accompanying Strong, among several others, was Jean-Francois Leboeuf.

Spanish  authorities became  aware of the gang's activities and observed the  traffickers. Law enforcement filmed  and recorded as Leboeuf  was seen meeting  with Strong, Allan Ross, David Sabio, Angel Sanchez, and other members of both organizations.

U.S. prosecutors indicted Leboeuf  and Allan Strong on RICO charges. Strong  was aware of the indictments and went into hiding but Leboeuf was arrested by the RCMP in Montreal in 1993.
Leboeuf  was finally extradited to Florida in December 1995 and, facing  the possibility of life in prison, chose  to co-operate with  American authorities. His damaging testimony put the nail in Strong's coffin and got himself off the hook. but Leboeuf will now have to live the rest of his life cautiously, knowing that the criminal organization he once served will be gunning for him.
