True Bliss are the Popstars from New Zealand, created from the very first Popstars series anywhere in the world. Yet they are probably one of the least well known Popstars groups. That's because they didn't last for long, and the band ended before most of the others had even started.
The Band
I have very little information on True Bliss. New Zealand is only a small country, and so I doubt that many pages on the band were ever made. And considering that the band ceased to exist a couple of years ago, most of the pages about them would have disappeared by now. True Bliss is a typical five-girl band, with its members being Carly, Erika, Joe, Keri and Megan. They don't really look much like typical popstars, and perhaps their image was one of the reasons that their success didn't last. I guess they didn't have anything in particular that appealed to audiences. I really wish that Carly would actually smile in a photo! She looks evil, don't you think?! Anyway, I believe that True Bliss and the Popstars show were pretty popular at the beginning. But as a lot of bands have experienced, success of the show doesn't necessarily mean long-term success of the band. While the Popstars series all appear to have been very popular all around the world, it seems that once the show ends, people aren't so interested in the band anymore. Both of Australia's Popstars groups have experienced the same thing, but Bardot kept on trying and this led to more success for them, while we haven't yet seen what Scandal'us will do. While True Bliss may have been the least successful Popstars band to date, they started a phenomenon that spread all around the world. I haven't heard any of their music, so I can't really comment on it. I'd like to hear it, but I don't think it'll really be possible to find on the internet anymore. Apparently their first single was called 'Tonight', and their album 'Dream'.
