Velvet Empire is the new Canadian Popstars group! They've just been announced as the winners of Popstars: Boy meets girl, the second Canadian series. They have just released their first single!

There are five band members, with the usual three girls and two guys. Their names are Alex, Janelle, Justin, Lacey, and Ryan. I don't have much information on them at the moment, but it's all on the official site & the Popstars site, so I will find some things to write here very soon!

If you go to the offical site, you can hear samples of some of the songs from the new Velvet Empire album! Velvet Empire's music has an R&B sound to it, and is pretty good! The first single is a song called 'Frontin' on me'. That sounds like an R&B song just from the title, doesn't it?! Well, it's not too bad at all! I've also heard 'Wha,wha, what', which is really a good song! It's catchy, and even better than the first single, I think! The other song I have heard is 'I', and it's not too bad either. I hope to hear more from these guys in the future! Hopefully I'll also be able to see their video sometime soon J
