Place in History - What luck John Laurinaitis has had in his wrestling career. He was able to carve a path for himself overseas and few merely American fans hardly even know who is. Some might know him as Road Warrior Animal's younger brother, some might know him as a road agent, but he's much more than either of those. Johnny Ace made it to All Japan and as an instant favorite with Mrs. Baba. This may have kept him around longer than normal, but regardless he turned into a damn good wrestler. Ace was quickly set apart from his fellow gaijins with his good looks, innovative moves and babyface gimmick. He was immediately paired with one of company's better youngsters and they matched up with each other. Kenta Kobashi emerged from that spot though and would become so excellent that Ace could only hang on. He eventually became more of a heel as his looks faded. When the mass exodus tore the company apart, Ace was on his way out. While he could have gotten some good chances based on his reputation and with Mrs. Baba's power, Ace opted for booking in WCW. The company died though and he ended up in the WWF. Here he became a road agent and more often than not the man informing wrestlers when they were cut. Johnny Ace stands out as one of the most well-known gaijins of All Japan because of his longevity and uniqueness.
