Yorkshire Winter - 1967 I was an ordinary kid. Scrunched through snow to school. Wind pelting bullets into apple cheeks. Nose dripping. Warm assembly hall. Grieg's Morning. Pungent aromas of boiled spuds & gravy. Chocolate steamed pudding. At six, I became extra ordinary. Knowing, that whatever the season - my parents often felt like winter. |
