Babe Adams(12-12) was on top of his game in Boston as he tossed a beauty of a
no-hitter against the Cincinnati Reds. The Boston Red Sox won by a score of
6 to 0.

Adams was spectacular. He walked 2 Cincinnati batters. The tension was
mounting with every inning after the 6th. Adams appeared oblivious himself
to the mounting history until two were out in the 9th. Only then, did he
allow himself one deep sigh and a slow trip around the mound. Boston had 10
hits for the afternoon.

Nap Rucker(14-8) was the loser. What a show!' Mike Bowen said. 'Adams was
great out there -- I'm happy that he got it.'
