History was made in St. Louis as Hooks Wiltse(10-4) tossed a no-hitter and the
St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Boston Red Sox by the score of 4 to
0.

Wiltse was spectacular. He allowed Boston just one walk. What a day for the
fans. They were on the edge of their seats from the 7th inning on. With
every out, the electricity in the air mounted. St. Louis finished with just
4 hits in the victory.

Bugs Raymond(5-10) was the loser. 'Wiltse was simply incredible' losing
pitcher Raymond said. 'I hate to admit this but I'd pay to watch a man pitch
like that'
