League of Champions Home Page League of Champions V: Feb 2003 The 1904 entries to the LOC V were the New York Higlanders and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Both teams were dispelled in short order. They finished 5th and 6th and are eliminated from ever participating again in the LOC Tournaments. Winners of this tournament were tied at 91-71. The 1952 Yankees and the 1953 Orioles. The 02 and 03 Pirates finished 3rd and 4th and will move on to the LOC VI. League of Champions V Standings and Stats Cumulative Stats League of Champions IV: Jan 2003 The previous winners the 1902 Pittsburgh Pirates were beaten bad in this tournament...by the 1903 Pittsburgh Pirates. Craig Biddle is getting a reputation in this league for building Champions. This 1903 Pittsburgh team won 100 games against 5 of the top teams in the league's history. I don't need to say it buut that is one hell of an accomplishment. The teams eliminated were the 1952 White Sox and the 1953 Cardinals. League of Champions 5 will be coming up in a couple weeks after the 1904 season ends. League of Champions IV Standings and Stats LOC Cumulative Team Records League of Champions III: Nov 2002 The 1902 Pittsburgh Pirates were challenged to the end in this tournament. The 3rd League of Champions Tournament ended in a tie between the 1902 Pirates and the 1952 White Sox. Both will advance into the LOC IV in addition to the 52 Yankees and the 03 Pirates. The two teams eliminated are the 03 St Louis Cardinals and the 1951 Cleveland Indians. Back to back League of Champions Winners. 1901 Cleveland and 1901 Cincinnati are eliminated and will never again be asked back to the League of Champions. The first time White Sox of 1952 and Yankees of 1952 played well and took 3rd and 2nd overall.
